AGED FOR 20 MONTHS IN NEW AND NEUTRAL FRENCH OAK BARRELS.
The scintillating 2020 Interstellar comes from 100% Mourvedre grapes from the Royal Slope and gifts a brooding deep purple core with a brickish rim. My personal favorite from the Massalto lineup, it’s herbaceous on the nose with notes of dried sagebrush, blueberry compote, dusty earth, black pepper, and shades of crushed olives. Spicy and crunchy on the palate, it finishes with perfect acidity levels and sweet, prominent tannins. 40% whole cluster. Better in 2024.
